About us
EmpowerCare, part of Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub is a new volunteer-led organization, building a mobile application for chronic illness and disability patients, with eventually both a youth and adult offering.
The app uses our innovative methods to enable optimal management of chronic conditions and will include an online peer support and mental health network providing a safe and welcoming community for all as well as physician-approved symptom trackers, reminders, and health summaries. We hope to use AI to ultimately improve patient lives across the globe.

By utilizing EmpowerCare's exclusive symptom-tracking formula, patients can keep track of their health daily for both of our launch conditions, Spondyloarthritis and Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Sharing this information is even more crucial and with a tap of a button, patients can share the health summaries to their doctors, family and friends.
Mental Health Toolbox
When accounting for and improving patients' mental health, there is a direct improvement in physical health effects. Utilising our new mental health toolbox, with scientifically approved guided meditations for pain as well as our medically approved wellness score, and education section, patients can look after all aspects of their health.
Medication and Appointment Calendars
Keeping track of medications and appointments can be a never-ending challenge often associated with brain fog. Thanks to EmpowerCare's easy-to-use UI, patients can log these appointments and medication leading to more optimal health outcomes.

What OS will the app operate on?
The beta app is only compatible with IOS operating systems at this time for optimal experience. With plans to expand to Android and Web soon.
When will the app be available?
The IOS Beta will be launched on February 9th, 2024 for a select group of testers with either Spondyloarthritis or Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

What is the pricing?
At EmpowerCare, we understand the financial pressures, those with chronic illness and disability face and as such the app will be free initially!
What conditions will be available?
From the initial beta launch in 2023, only Spondyloarthritis (Rheumatoid, Juvenile, AS, Psoriatic, Osteoarthritis, etc) and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn's, Undifferentiated IBD) will be available to allow for optimal test. Into 2024 we hope to incorporate many other chronic illnesses and autoimmune conditions, such as POTS, IBS, T1D, T2D etc.
